Sister Patricia M. Wormann, a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic in Caldwell, was recently honored for her longtime commitment to education during the Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children’s (SFIC) first-ever Irish American Leadership Breakfast. The event also raised $91,000 — which is $16,000 more than SFIC’s target goal — to fund partial tuition assistance scholarships for underprivileged students attending Archdiocese of Newark Catholic schools.
On March 21st, sisters enjoyed an evening with Caldwell University students. They shared a meal and had lots of laughs while playing bingo. The university is celebrating Founder’s Week with many activities including a lecture, Mass and this activity.
Students and faculty members from Saint Dominic Academy, Lacordaire Academy, and Mount Saint Dominic Academy visited the Motherhouse on March 9th to learn more about our sisters as part of Catholic Sisters Week 2023, the theme of which is “Celebrating Traditions, Changing the World.”
Sister Lois Curry, OP (formerly Sister John Margaret), a Sister of Saint Dominic of Caldwell for 65 years, entered into eternal life on February 26, 2023, at the age of 82 at Saint Catherine of Siena Healthcare Center, Caldwell, NJ.
