On Sunday, March 6th, Sisters Danelle and Mary John joined with other peace protesters at a rally in Montclair, NJ, held in conjunction with the Global Day of Action for Peace in Ukraine. People of all ages raised their voices and held signs to give witness to the suffering of the people of Ukraine—especially the children. We prayed for peace using the music, "Let There Be Peace on Earth," and formed a common bond with young and old holding our signs and shouting out, "No to war! Save the children!"
As we enter Lent with the ashes of this year, may we be blessed with God’s transforming love always at work in our hearts and in our lives. Let us remember it is in the ashes that the seeds of new life take root and grow. During Lent 2022, as we continue to pray for and support one another, may we find what we most need, may we receive a gift we never expected, and may we find strength in those who have journeyed before us. Be assured of our prayers during this Lenten season as, even now, our hearts journey to Easter.
