Congratulations to our own Sr. Fran Sullivan, OP, as well as Sr. Jane Meyer, Sr. Margaret Ormond, and Dr. Joy Maness, recipients of the first Heritage Award presented by the
Dominican Association of Secondary Schools (DASS).
The Heritage Award is presented to Dominican Catholic educators who have demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to Dominican Catholic secondary education. Through their distinguished, substantial, and long-standing contributions to Dominican education, they have sustained the preaching mission of the Dominican Order and inspired generations of students.
This first Heritage Award is presented to these four educators who clearly proved their devotion to the charism in secondary education over an outstanding collective 130 years. Sister Fran, who recently retired at Head of School of Mount St. Dominic Academy after 40 years of service, is a former member of the DASS Executive Board.
Again, congratulations to Sr. Fran and her fellow recipients of the Heritage Award. We thank them not only for their gift of leadership to their own schools but the inspiration provided to the broader Dominican family.
