Hearts of Friendship

On February 13, 2023, a group of former members of the Sisters of St. Dominic invited Caldwell Dominican sisters to join them for a Zoom event entitled “The Hearts of Friendship.” Kathy Detlet welcomed the group assembled, and Barbara Brandes introduced the theme. Everyone was invited to share about a person that made a difference in their lives. Some spoke of priests or sisters; others shared about former students who have reached out to them and spoke of the difference that they have made. Sister Mary Agnes Sullivan was thanked for her continued connection to Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona and how touched sisters were to still receive cards from the students. Therese Shehan then offered a toast, and everyone raised their glass as a sign of friendship. The event ended with a closing prayer and a chance to chat informally with each other. Other core members that contributed to this event were Jane Selinske, Marie Hogarty, Lynne Kennedy and Mary Berlin.
